A very old serie, was aired on 1963.
The story is that there is a planet called Gallifrey, where all the people are timelords with theirs own tardis (time and relative dimensions in space). they travel through time and space to help people, change history or just for fun, but one day the daleks decided to attack Gallifrey and so the war began. the only one who survived was the doctor, an old man who had lost everything, but not his screwdriver and his tardis, with that he could leave his planet and then went to planet earth where he met his first companion, and the adventures started.
the First actor who played the Doctor was William Hartnell. The sci-fiction show was and is so famous that is still on air. With 50 years on air this series have changed so much, had had so many stories to tell and enjoy.
we just hope (the wovians) that it will last for many years. but we dont know with steven moffat, and his damn crazy mind.
